Drawings that get built.

CAD and electrical engineering grounded in real industry work: plant design at NNPC, live data-center infrastructure on SIWES, and freelance medium-voltage drafting in between. If it has a single-line diagram, I've probably drawn one like it.

NNPC Engineering & Technical Company

Engineering Intern (industrial attachment), Lagos Jul — Sep 2025

Piping sketches → multi-view AutoCAD drawings → AutoCAD Plant 3D models, plus Navisworks clash review and DIALux lighting design.

Three months inside a real plant-design workflow: from a sketch on paper to a coordinated 3D model that other disciplines could check their work against. Also where I learned that a clash report can humble you faster than any code review.

  • Interpreted piping sketches into multi-view AutoCAD drawings, then modelled them in Plant 3D
  • Navisworks clash review and model coordination
  • DIALux lighting simulations with calculation notes, lighting layouts, and electrical circuit diagrams
  • Supported pressure-vessel and piping design work

  • AutoCAD Plant 3D

Data Center

current placement

SIWES industrial placement · Lagos 2026 — present

Electrical infrastructure documentation, SLD drafting, and hands-on data-center operations exposure.

Live infrastructure, real stakes. Documenting how a data center actually runs — from HV switchgear procedures down to which rack draws from which panel — and turning that into documentation an operator can follow at 3 a.m.

  • Produced a library of SOPs/EOPs — access control, shift handover, BMS, HV electrical, UPS, housekeeping, emergencies
  • Built rack-to-power-panel scheduling workbooks
  • Single-line diagram drafting for electrical infrastructure
  • AutoCAD
  • AutoCAD Electrical
  • BMS
  • UPS systems

Freelance CAD — Power Reticulation

CAD Designer ongoing

Power reticulation single-line diagrams in AutoCAD / AutoCAD Electrical, including MV switchgear work.

Client drafting work in the medium-voltage space. The diagrams are under client confidentiality, which is a fancy way of saying the best ones live on someone else’s wall.

  • Power reticulation SLDs for client projects
  • Medium-voltage switchgear work — ring main units, Schneider SM6/RM6
  • AutoCAD
  • AutoCAD Electrical
